Freshman Transition Seminar

Description

The Freshman Transition Seminar – Your DA Journey consists of a series of workshops for incoming freshmen that introduce program expectations, strategies for academic and personal success, college entrance requirements, and pathways in higher education. The seminar is designed to equip students with foundational tools to thrive as high school and Doctors Academy students while inspiring them to begin envisioning their future educational and career journeys. 

Objectives

1. Students will be covered on program guidelines and expectations for all four years 

2. Students will be provided tools to aim high in school which can lead to success  

3. A-G requirements will be reviewed and outlined to help students understand why they are important in high school and how colleges review A-G 

4. Students will be introduced to continuing education pathways after High School 

5. Students will participate in activities to grow their understanding of high school and college
