Description

Students will be introduced to what cancer is, how it spreads, and what is being can be done to help those afflicted.

Objectives

  1. By the end of the lesson, students will be able to define cancer and understand basic terminology associated with it, demonstrating their knowledge through a written summary or class discussion. 

  2. Students will learn how cancer spreads (metastasizes) through the body, and will explain this process using diagrams or visual aids in a presentation or report. 

  3. Students will identify and debunk common misconceptions about cancer, discussing these misconceptions in a group activity or through a written reflection. 

  4. Students will be introduced to current methods being used to treat and potentially cure cancer, summarizing this information in a project, presentation, or report.
