Health equity is when each individual has the chance to reach their own full potential in their own personal healthcare and not someone else's. They should be able to do this without facing any socially determined obstacles such as social status, income, race, religion, etc. In other words, everyone should have fair and equitable access to healthcare professionals, health insurance, safe-living environments, and healthy food options. The goal is to strive for a better future for everyone.
